ABEC is an annual event uniting key stakeholders from blue economy sectors in the Western Mediterranean. It features conferences and workshops on shipbuilding, sustainable fishing, maritime transport, and renewable energy, organized under the Ministry of Knowledge Economy.

Startup10 is a program executed by CIHEAM Bari to empower entrepreneurial skills in Green & Blue Economy in the mediteranean and africa region in ten (10) Italian cooperation partner countries, implemented by Leancubator in Algeria. With a complete capacity building program to encourage the development of local startups operating in the green and blue economy sectors and involved in digitalization processes.

The program organized in collaboration with BEMED to identify and support innovative projects led by students, professionals, entrepreneurs and startups, proposing innovative operational models to combat plastic pollution in maritime areas.

The online hackathon that covers topics related to the COVID-19 pandemic that the world faced in order to identify solutions that can help during the health crisis in one of the sectors affected.
