Algeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem continues to evolve and mature. In line with its national entrepreneurship strategy, the National Agency for the Support and Development of Entrepreneurship (NESDA) has announced a strong commitment for 2026: supporting 10,000 micro-enterprises nationwide.

A structured and end-to-end support model

This program is built around several key pillars:

  • Financing partnerships with public and private stakeholders
  • Support through Entrepreneurship Development Centers (CDEs)
  • Business management and ideation training, delivered by ILO (BIT)-certified trainers
  • This integrated approach aims to equip entrepreneurs with essential skills while reducing early-stage risks.
  • Enabling access to markets through subcontracting

Beyond funding and training, NESDA plans to facilitate 500 subcontracting agreements between micro-enterprises and economic operators.
These partnerships will enable startups and small businesses to access real market opportunities and integrate into established value chains.

Strong post-creation support

To ensure long-term sustainability, NESDA provides continued post-creation support, including:

  • Identifying business opportunities and workload plans
  • Supporting the location of micro-enterprises in activity zones
  • Facilitating access to state-developed business premises
  • This approach helps entrepreneurs move from creation to sustainable growth.

Digital tools empowering entrepreneurs

As part of its digital transformation, NESDA has launched several internally developed platforms:

  • NESDA Academy for training management
  • NESDA Writing for digital project evaluation
  • NESDA Tracking for field monitoring and geolocation
  • MyProject for online registration and remote file tracking

Additionally, Business.NESDA.nz, a subcontracting-focused platform, currently connects more than 5,000 micro-enterprises with public and private operators, improving visibility and collaboration across the ecosystem.

These efforts underline the value of strong collaboration between public institutions, incubators, and ecosystem enablers to unlock entrepreneurial potential at scale.
