The Blue2Market program made its debut during the opening day of the International Fisheries and Aquaculture Fair (SIPA 2025) in Oran, a key event bringing together institutional actors, experts, companies, and startups in the blue economy.

This day marked the official launch of Blue2Market under the Blue Economy Program, funded by the European Union in Algeria, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, and implemented by Leancubator.

Highlights of the first day included:

• Exhibitions by supported startups in the dedicated Blue Startup area;
• B2B and B2G meetings fostering networking and synergies between startups, companies, and institutions;
• Showcasing innovative solutions developed by entrepreneurs in the blue economy.

A key moment of the day was the visit of Dr. Yacine Oualid, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, and Dr. Noureddine Ouadah, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, to the Blue Startup Area. They engaged directly with entrepreneurs supported by Leancubator, explored their solutions, and recognized their contributions to advancing a sustainable and innovative blue economy.

 This kick-off marks the beginning of an intensive support program aimed at accelerating startups’ market access, strengthening their entrepreneurial capacities, and promoting industrial and institutional partnerships in the fishing, aquaculture, and marine technology sectors.
