On April 30th in Algiers, the PEFEVA Project Promotion of Women’s Entrepreneurship in the Green Economy in Algeria organized a workshop dedicated to entrepreneurship awareness, business creation procedures, and access to financing opportunities for women entrepreneurs and project holders.
The event brought together key actors from the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including support organizations, students, aspiring entrepreneurs, and women-led initiatives, around a shared objective: strengthening access to practical knowledge and resources that facilitate the transition from entrepreneurial ideas to viable businesses.
Designed as an interactive and informative session, the workshop focused on two major themes that remain central to entrepreneurial development: understanding the administrative process of creating a business and identifying financing mechanisms accessible to women entrepreneurs in Algeria.
A key highlight of the event was the presentation of the practical guide “Creating Your Business Step by Step” by Nesrine Zaid, Program Director at Leancubator. Developed within the framework of the project, the guide was designed as an accessible and practical resource to support entrepreneurs throughout the different phases of business creation from the initial idea to project implementation.
The workshop also provided participants with an overview of existing financial support mechanisms and funding opportunities available for women entrepreneurs and project leaders. Through presentations and discussions, attendees gained clearer insights into available support structures and the tools that can help facilitate entrepreneurial development.
In addition to knowledge-sharing, the event created an opportunity for dialogue between participants and ecosystem stakeholders. The exchanges highlighted several recommendations and perspectives aimed at improving the accessibility, usability, and impact of entrepreneurial support tools in response to field realities and the evolving needs of women entrepreneurs.
By promoting practical guidance, accessible information, and ecosystem collaboration, the initiative contributes to ongoing efforts to strengthen women’s economic empowerment and encourage entrepreneurship in sustainable and high-potential sectors.
