Leancubator had the honour of participating in the Matchmaking Business Forum, held on April 24–25, 2025, in Malta as part of the EU Startups Summit. This high-level event was organised under the CALLMEBLUE – Cluster Alliance Med Blue project, co-funded by the European Union. It brought together key players from across the Mediterranean blue economy to foster innovation, strengthen regional cooperation, and create new strategic partnerships among clusters and businesses.

Over two dynamic days, innovators, entrepreneurs, clusters, and policymakers engaged in pitching sessions, collaborative workshops, and thematic panels. These activities sparked valuable conversations around building sustainable blue value chains, strengthening North–South alliances, and unlocking cross-regional innovation potential. Representing the Algerian and Southern Mediterranean innovation ecosystem, Leancubator was proud to contribute to these important discussions.

We extended our sincere thanks to the distinguished speakers who opened the Blue Economy Partnership Forum with insightful remarks: Emmanuel Noutary (ANIMA Investment Network), Lidia Rossi (ForMare – Lead Partner of the CallMeBLUE project), Nathalie Farrugia (Malta Enterprise), and Maria Cini (Malta National Hub – WestMED Initiative). A special thank you went to Audrey Caruana (Malta Enterprise) for her keynote speech that highlighted Malta’s leading role in promoting blue economy innovation and entrepreneurship.

The forum demonstrated the impact of cross-regional collaboration and the central role of clusters in advancing sustainable and resilient maritime economies. It also reinforced the potential for synergies across the Mediterranean to shape a greener, more inclusive future.

We closed the event with deep appreciation to all partners, peers, and the dedicated organisers behind the CallMeBLUE project. Their commitment contributed to building a stronger, more connected, and sustainable blue economy across the region.
