As part of the InnovAgro delegation organized by GIZ Algeria, Leancubator had the pleasure of being represented by Ziad R. Nesrine in a unique learning and networking experience in Berlin, Europe’s thriving innovation capital.

This immersion visit was more than just a trip, it was a strategic exploration of Berlin’s dynamic startup and green tech ecosystem, helping us prepare for GITEX EUROPE 2025 and build meaningful bridges between Algerian and European innovators.

Highlights from the Journey:

Urban farming & green technology in action

We had the chance to meet the inspiring teams at Our Greenery and Konzept Green, where sustainability meets innovation. Their forward-thinking work in urban agriculture offered new perspectives on how green tech can address real-world challenges in our cities.

Inclusive innovation & entrepreneurship

Our deep-dive sessions with enpact e.V. and Impact Hub Berlin were particularly enriching, as we explored best practices in fostering inclusive entrepreneurship, supporting impact-driven startups, and building resilient ecosystems.

Immersed in Berlin’s startup culture

From a visit to the renowned betahaus coworking space to open discussions with local entrepreneurs, we experienced Berlin’s vibrant startup culture firsthand , full of creativity, agility, and collaboration.

A look ahead at GITEX EUROPE

We also took the time to explore the future-facing themes of GITEX EUROPE,  including clean energy, digital agriculture, and tech for sustainability. This gave us valuable insights to better position our own innovation efforts in the months ahead.

A big thank you to GIZ Algeria and all our hosts in Berlin for making this immersion so impactful. These kinds of experiences are essential to building international bridges, opening minds, and accelerating the circular and green economy in Algeria and beyond.
