Last week, Leancubator team activley took part in the working sessions of the "Digital Technologies for Agriculture in North Africa" workshop, organized under the Digital for Development Hub (D4D Hub) and hosted by CIHEAM Bari (25–27 March 2026) in Tricase, Italy

Alongside policymakers, researchers, private sector actors, and development partners, we contributed to a hands-on multi-stakeholder dialogue on the future of digital agriculture across North Africa.

Key topics we worked on:

  •  Open innovation in agrifood systems
  •  Digital inclusion in rural areas
  •  Food safety & traceability
  •  Earth Observation & irrigation management

A highlight of the program was a field visit to the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) in Lecce, a powerful reminder of how science and technology must go hand in hand to address the climate challenges facing our region.

For us at Leancubator, being part of this work reinforces our commitment to supporting digital transformation in the region, turning evidence into actionable recommendations, and building the right partnerships to move things forward.

More to come.
