Dive into the highlights of the CALLMEBLUE project kick-off by EMFAF!

On December 4 and 5, 2023, we had the honor of participating in the official launch of the CALLMEBLUE project, co-financed by the European Union, during an exciting meeting in Rome. For two intense days, key players from Mediterranean maritime clusters gathered in the prestigious ForMare premises, located in the Palazzo Colonna.

CALLMEBLUE is a project co-financed by the European Union, aiming to strengthen existing alliances in the Mediterranean region and accelerate north-south regional cooperation to foster the emergence of strategic maritime clusters in North Africa.

The project brings together the main maritime clusters in the Mediterranean region and is supported by the WestMED initiative. The key actors behind the project are:

It will span two years with the main objectives of:

• Improving the availability of relevant data to identify obstacles and gaps at the maritime basin level in the southern area.
• Empowering the ecosystem of nascent and emerging maritime clusters.
• Promoting regional dialogue processes highlighting the relevance of maritime clusters in governance.
• Promoting sustainable monitoring of maritime clusters in the Mediterranean.
