Microplastics: An Invisible Enemy of our Oceans
May 3, 2023
An environmental threat that has been increasingly talked about in recent months, microplastic pollution is considered the dreaded enemy by the scientific community. Due to its persistence and ubiquity, microplastics are invading our food, especially those found in the seas.
Unfortunately, humans remain unaware of the dangers that microplastics can pose to health and the environment..
Yassine Bouabdallah, founder of the Biovert Transformation project and passionate about environmental protection, has launched a series of awareness campaigns to educate students and young people about the threat of microplastics. The youth are the future of our planet, and their participation in the fight against plastic pollution is crucial!
He is contributing to raising awareness among young students and students about the risks of microplastics and their impact on the marine environment. Through numerous awareness campaigns conducted along the coastline of the country, especially in Algiers, Oran, and Annaba, Yassine aims to encourage them to fight against this harmful enemy that continues to grow over time.
Awareness day at the National Higher School of Agronomy - ENSA on microplastics conducted in collaboration with the Eco Club.
An awareness day was organized at ITPA ORAN on the risks of microplastic waste and their impact on the marine environment.
An awareness day was organized at Club El Mordjane for elementary school students at Slimane Amirat. The program of the day was rich in activities:
-Workshop on awareness about the duration of biodegradation at sea with children's participation.
-Presentation of the port, ships, and fishing activities.
-Organization of a drawing contest on marine pollution with promotional gifts for the top three winners.
Plastic pollution is an urgent problem that requires immediate action. Today's youth will be tomorrow's leaders and must be sensitized to the protection of our environment now. With initiatives like those of Biovert Transformation, we can work together to make our world a healthier and more sustainable place for future generations.
