On Tuesday, October 10, and Wednesday, October 11, 2023, 20 startups and project leaders from across the country met with experts from Philip Morris International as part of the second edition of the Harm Reduction Initiative.

During these two days, our dear startups had the opportunity to attend workshops led by PMI experts, highlighting the mechanisms for preventing and managing environmental, health, social, and economic risks.

The day continued with a series of pitches where each participant, in turn, was challenged on the feasibility and maturity of their sustainable innovations. They benefited from invaluable advice and recommendations.

We were pleased to have Mrs. Imane Trari, Maghreb Communication Manager at PMI, among us. We warmly thank her for her valuable contribution to the discussions and the quality of exchanges with all participants.

This new edition looks very promising with the participants of the Harm Reduction Initiative! A range of benefits is offered, including the opportunity for open innovation collaboration with Philip Morris International, significant support and assistance, and a launch grant of 500,000 DZD for the two best startups in the program, which will be revealed at the grand finale of the Algeria Startup Challenge.
